ABBRA plans business roundtable in Rhode Island

The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association will hold its first Business Leaders Reception on Monday in Providence, R.I.

The reception is a regionally organized gathering of business owners, general managers and marine industry professionals to network and learn from visionary and distinguished leaders in the boatyard and boatbuilding industry.

The reception will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hemenway’s Seafood Grill and Oyster Bar at 121 S. Main St.

ABBRA executive director Gordon Connell will provide an update of the association’s 2014 activities and plans for its 2015 Boatyard Business Conference.

Founded in 1943, ABBRA is a national marine trade organization that represents, is dedicated to and seeks to strengthen and encourage professionalism in the boatbuilding, marine service and boat repair industry.
