The 2019 American Boating Congress starts today with recreational boating industry representatives descending upon Washington, D.C., to advance their advocacy issues. The first day will feature remarks from National Marine Manufacturers Association president Thom Dammrich, awards presentations, workshops and a networking reception.

The three-day congress will run through Wednesday and features issue workshops that will cover the recreation infrastructure, the workforce shortage, large-yacht registry, year-round sales of E15 gasoline, tariffs, water cleanliness, boating safety and taxation and free-trade zones.
