The American Boat and Yacht Council is offering a free series of webinars to share knowledge of the ABYC certification courses and technical topics.

Three separate webinars will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday.

"During these difficult economic times, now is the time to build credibility even further as a marine professional and distinguish oneself from the competition," said Mike New, ABYC's education director, in a statement. "This is a free opportunity for anyone who has been thinking about becoming ABYC-certified to learn about the most popular certification topics, what is involved, and the benefits of having these credentials."

The three webinars are as follows:

  • Insider's Guide to ABYC's Electrical and Marine Corrosion Certification; Noon to 1 p.m.
  • Insider's Guide to ABYC's Diesel & Gasoline Engines Certification; 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • Insider's Guide to ABYC's Marine Systems & Standards Certification; 3-4 p.m.

The ABYC webinar is open to anyone interested in learning more about ABYC's technical work force certification programs, but space is limited and registration is required.
