The American Boat and Yacht Council today announced an agreement with global manufacturer and distributor Weems & Plath to provide a 25 percent discount on all merchandise to ABYC members, as well as to Westlawn Institute and Marine League schools staff and students.

According to the agreement, the supplier of nautical products and gifts will provide the member discounts when ordering on its Web site or by calling in orders and providing the ABYC membership discount code.

"This added member benefit is most welcomed and comes at a time when our members could really use discount incentives to purchase quality merchandise," ABYC president Skip Burdon said in a statement. "Being next-door neighbors, this agreement is a natural progression of the cooperative efforts ABYC and Weems & Plath have fostered over the years. We are not only good business partners, we are friends."
