Active Interest Media names Detroit sales manager

Active Interest Media said Keith Cunningham has joined the company as its Detroit sales manager.

Cunningham is AIM’s first sales team member with responsibility across all of AIM’s groups and properties. AIM’s media groups include Marine, Healthy Living, Outdoor, Equine and Home Buyer with a combination of more than 45 special-interest magazines, large scale consumer events and multimedia.

AIM owns Soundings Trade Only.

“We are investing in building our team and partnerships in key markets to continue AIM’s extraordinary growth,” AIM’s president and COO Andy Clurman said in a statement. “Keith’s exceptional track record of developing creative, integrated media programs make him an ideal fit with AIM.”

Before joining AIM, Cunningham was the Detroit manager for WebMD. In 2009, he founded He Foresee Media, where he represented such marquee brands as Smithsonian Magazine and Thrillist.com.

Prior to that, he held key advertising positions at National Geographic Media for 12 years. He began his career as the Detroit manager for Popular Science Magazine.
