AdvanTec USA acquires USA Sliding Doors

AdvanTec USA Manufacturing has acquired USA Sliding Doors Inc., making it the fifth brand under the parent’s corporate marine umbrella. The brands include Diamond Sea Glaze, Pacific Coast Marine, Freeman Marine and Steelhead Marine.

The acquisition furthers AdvanTec’s goal of being a full-scale marine solutions provider. Robert Weiland and William Best founded USA Sliding Doors in 2001 and the company has served the maritime and civil industry, supplying doors for the US Navy foreign militaries and commercial applications.

“This relationship has been going on for the last 18 years,” Weiland and Best said in a statement. “We are excited that a distinguished marine company like AdvanTec chose to purchase our company. We have a lot of doors in the field and now our customers can still count on being reliably served.”

Added Matt Kirby, vice president of sales/marketing at AdvanTec, “The acquisition just made good strategic sense, as part of our mission to provide customers with the most complete product offering. The strong commercial and military maritime market has allowed AdvanTec Group to grow our capabilities to service a larger market segment.”
