The Association of Marina Industries and the States Organization for Boating Access signed a memorandum of understanding to foster mutual cooperation and collaboration, enhance the services available to members of both organizations and more effectively carry out their missions.

"Over the years AMI has worked with SOBA and has certainly been aware of what SOBA has done for the boating industry, so it made sense to formalize a partnership and a means to better work together," AMI chairman Jim Frye said in a statement. "AMI is excited about the opportunities that can come from working more closely with our states' agencies."
