The show opens Thursday and runs through the weekend.

The awards are designed to recognize exhibitors for marketing excellence in presenting their products and services at the United States Sailboat Show.

There will be an overall "Best in Show" winner, and prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Best Booth Display (200 square feet and under)
  • Best Booth Display (more than 200 square feet)
  • Best Boat Display (four or fewer boats)
  • Best Boat Display (five or more boats)

Winners will be announced during the Sail America members meeting set for Friday.

"We are excited to be working with United States Yacht Shows on the Best in Show Awards," Sail America executive director Jonathan Banks said in a statement. "The Best in Show Awards will encourage exhibitors to make an extra effort to present their products and services in a professional manner. We believe such effort is a sure-fire way to increase the number of attendees to their space, while serving to improve the overall show experience for our visitors."
