AOC LLC will increase prices 7 cents a pound in the United States and $0.155 a kilo in Canada for all vinylester and unsaturated polyester resins, the company announced.

In addition, prices for gelcoats and pigments will increase as much as 7 cents a pound in the United States and as much as $0.16 a kilo in Canada.

All increases are effective for shipments on and after Feb. 13.

“This action is due to higher prices for several raw materials,” AOC said in a statement.

“Raw material cost increases are driven by rising demand, increased feedstock costs and a stronger export market for petrochemicals produced in the U.S. These conditions are expected to continue throughout the first quarter of 2012.”
