Bass Pro Shops and MarineMax pooled their resources in a joint promotion that started May 30. For 16 days, the companies will host joint events at 17 Bass Pro Shops across the country.

"Both our companies offer a great outdoors lifestyle with tremendous value to our customers,” said Glenn Sandridge, vice president of marketing for MarineMax, in a statement. “In today's environment, we believe that added convenience delivers additional value. Customers visiting our joint events will be able to choose from the No. 1 brands in every significant product category all in one place.

"Plus, in today's market environment, we have not only large inventories and great pricing, but also factory authorized offers that produce even better deals for consumers,” he added.

Headquartered in Springfield, Mo., Bass Pro Shops has 49 retail locations in 26 states and Canada. The company is also an international catalog and Internet retailer. Clearwater, Fla.-based MarineMax is the nation's largest recreational boat and yacht retailer, with 88 retail locations.
