Alabama-based professional angler and reigning Bassmaster Classic champion Randy Howell is giving away his Bassmaster Classic-winning Triton bass boat.
Howell has given away his tour boat each year for the last four years to one lucky donor to the King's Home. Based in Birmingham, Ala., the King's Home is home to hundreds of youth, women and children seeking refuge, hope and help from abuse, neglect, abandonment, homelessness and other difficult and impoverished conditions and circumstances from around the country.
The boat, a 2014 Triton 21TRX, is powered by a Mercury Marine 250 Pro XS engine, is the boat Howell used to win the Bassmaster Classic and $300,000 in February of this year.
"This has been a special boat to me, and it is a blessing to see it used to raise the much-needed funding to help the kids and women at King's Home,” Howell said in a statement. “Whoever wins this is going to love it. It is loaded with all the bells and whistles, including: Lowrance electronics, Bluewater LED custom lighting, HullSpeed hull coating, Bob's Marine jack plate, Power-Poles and more."
For every $100 donation to the King's Home, Howell is giving away one entry to win the boat. There is no limit to the number of entries someone can receive for a donation. A $1,000 donation would receive 10 entries.
The boat drawing will be held at the Kampfire for the King on Saturday at the King's Home Chelsea, Ala., headquarters and will be streamed live at KingsHome.com at 2:15 p.m. CST. Donations will be accepted through noon Saturday.
