Bike-and-boat tour will return in July

Organizers of the Boaterz ‘n Bikerz of America Hull of a Tour are back this summer for Pacific Coast Rush.

After previous successful events in 2013 and 2015, organizers of the Boaterz ‘n Bikerz of America Hull of a Tour are back this summer for Pacific Coast Rush, a nine-day escorted motorcycle ride from Seattle to San Francisco that will include a two-day swing down to Big Sur and Monterey.

Hull of a Tour 3 will run from July 22-30 and is sponsored for the second year by Freedom Boat Club, along with marine media sponsor Soundings Trade Only; platinum sponsor Regal Boats; event, producer/publicist Kenton Smith Marketing; and boating host/marine retailer Alexander Marine USA, with locations in Seattle and Newport Beach, Calif.

“Pacific Coast Rush is going to be awesome, launching amid the spectacular mountains of the great Northwest, then traveling south via the most stunning coastal roads of California, with rides along the rim of Crater Lake in Oregon and winding through the majestic redwoods, encompassing multiple beach and iconic West Coast destinations,” Hull of a Tour event organizer Wanda Kenton Smith said in a statement.

Freedom Boat Club president and CEO John Giglio said he is pleased to be back as sponsor for a second year.

“Last year, several of our franchise owners participated in the ride festivities and hosted great boating events for the riders at their clubs,” Giglio said. “The West Coast is one of our company’s major areas for franchise growth, so we’re especially happy to be involved and to sponsor the tour once again. This year, a handful of our franchise owners and operators are also joining the ride, and we think that’s terrific!”

Kenton Smith, marketing columnist for Soundings Trade Only since 1998, will post daily tour blogs throughout the event.
