BluSkies International, a marine fuel systems technology company, received certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its P3 outboard motor fuel primer.

This indicates that the P3 formula meets or exceeds emission reduction initiatives that are part of an overall evaporative emissions rule implemented by the EPA in October 2008, the company said. The rule indicates the standard for primer bulbs is a limit of 15 grams per day and the P3 has an emissions level of less than one gram.

The P3 fuel primer was also the recent winner of the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show innovation award in the propulsion category.
