Boat Trader debuts Instagram fundraiser

Boat Trader, a division of Dominion Marine Media, launched a Valentine’s Day-inspired Instagram challenge to benefit the American Heart Association.

The challenge, #IHeartBoating, encourages people to follow Boat Trader on Instagram in February and share pictures of friends and family with whom they enjoy boating.

The challenge will run throughout what is known as American Heart Month and Boat Trader has pledged to “share the love” by donating $1 to the association in return for every photo submitted on Instagram with the hashtag #IHeartBoating.

“Since most Boat Trader fans can’t do much boating during the month of February, we came up with the #IHeartBoating challenge to get people excited about the upcoming boating season and to celebrate our mutual love for the water,” Boat Trader brand manager Katy Judge said in a statement.

“Since Valentine’s Day is all about sharing the love, we wanted to support a cause that is important to many American boaters. With their help, we look forward to raising as much money as we can to support the AHA.”
