Dominion Marine Media’s boats.com YouTube channel recently surpassed a million viewers.

Boats.com’s most watched video, “First Run with Seven Marine 557-hp Outboard,” was shot in 2011 at the Miami International Boat Show and has been watched more than 300,000 times. Its most popular how-to video, “How to Restore Faded Gel Coat,” has garnered more than 40,000 views since its addition a year ago.

“The growth of the boats.com YouTube channel is gratifying,” Boats.com editorial director John Burnham said in a statement. “Video gives our viewers virtual time on the water, and it’s also an easy way for people to learn new boating skills. Clearly we’ve hit some good notes with boaters out there, but we also feel we’re just getting started.”

In the fall, boats.com will expand its international coverage and library with more video boat reviews, how-to and product videos and boat show coverage in Europe as well as in the United States.
