BoatU.S. Angler adds expert to team

BoatU.S. Angler, a membership program that offers services and representation to boat owning anglers, is beefing up its stable of angling experts with the addition of Capt. Doug "Butch" Rickey to the "Ask the Experts" team.

Rickey, a saltwater guide in Southwest Florida, joins freshwater guide Capt. Steve Chaconas as the program's "go-to" guys for sharing fishing knowledge.

"Since we started our new BoatU.S. Angler membership program in 2006, our angling members have asked for more information on saltwater fishing," BoatU.S. Angler director Mike Pellerin said in a statement. "With Butch now joining Steve, we can help answer just about any question a member may have, whether it's about landing more fish, trailering or fishing rig topics."

Rickey is a guest host on local TV fishing shows including "The Capt. Mel Berman Show," has hosted the video "How To Catch Redfish" and has written numerous articles for several fishing magazines.
