BoatU.S. safety grant deadline is Nov. 1

The deadline to apply for the BoatU.S. Foundation’s Boating Safety Grant program is less than a month away.

The program offers grants up to $4,000 for boating safety projects, with a total of $50,000 available. While all applications will be considered, those that incorporate new ideas that focus on reducing alcohol-related fatalities will be given preferential consideration.

Grant applications must be e-mailed or postmarked on or before Nov. 1. For information or to download an application, visit the BoatU.S. Foundation Web site or call (800) 245-2628, ext. 8354.
