The recent Yacht Brokerage University, co-presented by YachtWorld.com and the Florida Yacht Brokers Association, drew 192 brokers to the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale.
The syllabus included presentations and moderated panels such as a report on the state of the industry from Dominion Marine Media vice president and digital manager Ian Atkins and Dominion Marine Media director of group product development Tim Claxton; “Selling to the Generations,” by Shane Pierce, senior director of leadership development at Dominion Enterprises, revealed the tactics needed to sell across multiple generations and a best practices panel.
All CPYB brokers that attended the event will receive credits toward the Certified Professional Yacht Broker program. The Fort Lauderdale YBU marked the start of the 2012 Yacht Brokerage University series. Additional YBU events will be held in various regions across the country.
