BRP offers Evinrude retail promotion

BRP announced a retail promotion for its Evinrude outboard engine brand.

Qualified U.S. consumers who purchase and take delivery of eligible Evinrude E-TEC engines from a participating Evinrude dealer will be able to select either special financing or an extended warranty offer:

•Special financing option: Financing as low as 3.9 percent APR for as long as 72 months.

• Extended warranty option: A BRP extended, six-year limited warranty consisting of three years of BRP factory warranty and three years of B.E.S.T. coverage.

“As boaters consider new engine purchases for the spring and summer season, the ‘Evinrude E-TEC Experience More FUN Sales Event’ provides them with a strong reason to visit any authorized Evinrude dealer and learn firsthand about the unmatched benefits that Evinrude E-TEC brings to a consumer's boating experience,” Evinrude director of marketing and strategic planning Christopher Berg said in a statement.

In related news, Evinrude introduced the Repower Triple Play Sweepstakes, a Facebook-based contest that gives fans a chance to win a 2012 Evinrude E-TEC outboard engine model and horsepower of their choice.

From April 23 through Aug. 23, consumers can visit www.facebook.com/brpevinrude to “like” the page and fill out an entry form for a chance to win. Fans can gain additional sweepstakes entries by using the Evinrude Repower Calculator, by posting a photo of an Evinrude E-TEC from an Evinrude dealership or by sharing the sweepstakes with Facebook friends.

By registering for the sweepstakes, fans also can enter to win free Evinrude outboard engine oil for a year.
