Cabela's to add another Texas store in 2011

Cabela's Inc. announced plans to open a store next spring in Allen, Texas.

The 100,000-square-foot store will be Cabela's third retail store in Texas, joining the Fort Worth and Buda locations.

"Texas is a prime location for a variety of outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing and boating, and our loyal customers in this part of the state are passionate about these pursuits," Cabela's CEO Tommy Millner said in a statement. "The area's residents, as well as visitors to the region, are people who enthusiastically enjoy their outdoor heritage, and we're excited to be even more accessible to them."

Cabela's showcases thousands of products, including hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, boating and wildlife-watching gear, as well as outdoor clothing and outdoor-themed gifts and furnishings.
