California Boating Congress returns in February

The Marine Recreation Association is sponsoring the 2018 California Boating Congress, which will take place in Sacramento on Feb. 27 and 28.

“Based on the success of the last two California Boating Congress events and the participation of three additional co-hosts for this year’s event, we are expecting the 2018 CBC, and our voice at the capital, to grow substantially,” Mariann Timms, MRA operations administrator, said in a statement.

The third annual event is the result of collaboration between the MRA and 11 boating-related groups, including the National Marine Manufacturers Association. There will be opportunities to meet with state legislators and government regulators.

There will be a cocktail reception for attendees at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento on Feb. 27. The main event kicks off at the hotel the following morning at 8:30.
