Camco Manufacturing Inc., a leading marine accessories and fluids manufacturer, acquired selected assets of Kuuma Innovations, a maker of specialty stainless-steel marine barbecue grills and marine hot-water heaters.

Terms of the deal were not released.

Mark Vertanen, one of Kuuma’s founders, will continue with Camco, working with the Kuuma brand and product development.

Kuuma, translated from Finnish as “hot,” is based in San Leandro, Calif. Those offices soon will move to Camco's corporate headquarters in Greensboro, N.C.

“We are extremely excited to have Mark Vertanen and the Kuuma brand join our Camco family,” Camco vice president of sales Keith Cook said in a statement. “Camco is going to make these products more readily available and accessible to consumers who want the best. It will allow us to provide the marine market with the consistent quality, service and competitive pricing that has made us the largest RV accessories manufacturer in North America.”
