Captains For Clean Water Names Board Member

Longtime Captains For Clean Water supporter Eugene Nesbeda has joined the organization’s board of directors. Nesbeda has decades of business expertise and a passion for the water.

“I hope to continue to support the growth, health and development of Captains For Clean Water, which is something I have a lot of experience doing with small and large organizations,” Nesbeda said in a statement. “Captains kept popping up as a name that was non-partisan, exclusively focused on cleaning up the water with no other agendas.”

Captains For Clean Water's mission is to restore and protect aquatic ecosystems. It works to advance science-based solutions through awareness and education, and by holding elected officials accountable.

“Scaling our organization is the key to growing our impact,” said executive director Capt. Daniel Andrews. “It will take getting more people involved, and that requires more resources. Gene is uniquely equipped to help us get there.”
