Boater’s World will present the St. Petersburg Boat Show and Strictly Sail Dec. 4-7 at Florida’s Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin and Albert Whitted Park, featuring bigger waterfront and land displays, along with several show additions.

Veteran producers Show Management of Fort Lauderdale and Sail America of Middletown, R.I., announced in June the merger of the two the long-standing boat shows into one new “super show.” A lineup of sail- and powerboat manufacturers will display a variety of boats, including cruisers, yachts, fishing boats, sailboats, sportboats, runabouts and personal watercraft.

The new and expanded show venue adds 50 new sailboats to the customized floating docks, joining the current roster of 200-plus powerboats. The Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin also will host a new on-land sailboat display, plus debut a new seminar program for sailors and powerboaters.

The expanded accessories tent will house the new gear, equipment and service vendors; the tent will be air-conditioned. More than 200 exhibitors will showcase marine gear, charter destinations, engines, electronics, apparel and the latest technology for boaters.

“We believe this new combined show provides tremendous value for our show patrons, featuring an outstanding variety of boats, gear and a wealth of exciting activities,” said Dane Graziano, Show Management senior vice president and chief operating officer, in a statement.
