Burnham, former editor of Cruising World magazine, will represent the Web sites at the Miami International Boat Show, providing event coverage through the new blog. While editorial will cover a variety of boating topics, will initially promote education and discussion in a special brokers-only editorial area with proprietary market reports.

The Maine Marine Trades Association announced its new officers and directors.

Joining the board as directors at large are Jeff Baker of Sabre Yachts, South Casco; Bill Fletcher of Beaver Cove Marina, Beaver Cove; Ian Kopp of Maritime Marine LLC, Augusta; Skip Robinson of Marine Industries Consultants LLC, Brunswick; and Sean Tarpey of Rumery's Boat Yard, Biddeford.

The board elected Tuesdi Woodworth of Morris Yachts, Bass Harbor, to serve as president and Ron Defoe, Lyman Morse Boatbuilding, Thomaston, to serve as vice president.

Woodworth, who is CFO at Morris Yachts, has served on the board since 2006 and is the first woman to serve as association president. Defoe is the environmental, health, safety and facilities manager at Lyman Morse and has served on the board since 2006.

The Maine Marine Trades Association was incorporated in 1966 and serves a diverse membership throughout the state.

Christopher Pelikan joined CK Advertising & Design Group as an account executive focusing on the marine industry.

He will specifically focus on brand management, marketing support and multimedia advertising strategies for marine-related products and services.
