Laura Burgess Marketing, of Portsmouth, N.H., added Eric Burgess, co-owner and partner, and Ashley Burgess, senior marketing/communications manager, to its team.
They will be responsible for driving the firm's revenue growth, market expansion into the boating and fishing markets and new service offerings for all markets.
"With Eric's strategic organizational knowledge, and lifelong experience with all things nautical, and Ashley's [marketing /communications] experience, especially with new media formats such as Twitter and Facebook, we're really looking forward to expanding our new and current services to the boating and fishing markets," company founder and president Laura Burgess said in a statement.
Eric Burgess has been a silent partner in the firm since it was founded in 2003. A lifelong fisherman and boater, he brings more than 30 years of managerial, organizational, IT and finance experience, as well as a knowledge of the boating and fishing markets. Prior to Laura Burgess Marketing, he had implemented new technology at Little Harbor Windows Company and James M. Taylor Furniture.
A graduate of Babson College, Ashley Burgess joins the firm with more than three years experience in marketing communications and public relations. She is a graduate of Babson College.
Prior to joining Laura Burgess Marketing, she was a marketing specialist at Bullhorn, Inc., where she was responsible for organizing events and trade shows, as well as balancing its social media platform. Ashley Burgess began her career as the assistant dockmaster at the Portsmouth Yacht Club, where she obtained her launch tender license from the U.S. Coast Guard to operate uninspected vessels.
