Changing Places

Chris Pelikan joined Great Lakes Scuttlebutt magazine and GreatLakeScuttlebutt.com as national marketing director.

Pelikan will focus on national and international brand awareness for the print and online magazines.

"Regional marine businesses in and around the Great Lakes have known for years how we effectively and resourcefully get into the hands and homes of the still-active boaters in the largest boating community in North America," publisher Erik Kyle said in a statement. "Chris' broad experience in both marketing and marine media will expand our brand awareness to national marine marketers looking for greater impact and market share in this targeted region."

Launched in 1992, Great Lakes Scuttlebutt was joined by an interactive online magazine in 2007 and, most recently, Scuttlebits, a weekly e-newsletter.
