Changing Places

Tucker West, the North American sales manager for Grand Banks Yachts, is now based at the company's offices in Seattle as part of his expanded role with the boatbuilder.

Recently promoted from his original position as East Coast sales manager, he also assumes oversight of Grand Banks Northwest, the company-owned flagship store in Seattle.

West comes to Seattle from the company's sales and service offices in Newport, R.I. He is a well-known industry veteran and an experienced boater with extensive knowledge of yacht design and sales. Early in his career, West worked for Sunsail in Thailand. Later, he returned to the U.S. and worked for The Catamaran Co.

"We are extremely pleased to have Tucker join us in Seattle," said Neil McCurdy, vice president of worldwide sales and service for Grand Banks. "His acumen and retail experience make him a perfect fit to take charge of our growing dealership here. And in his expanded role as sales manager for the entire North American region, it's a very positive step to have him so near our corporate sales and marketing headquarters in Seattle."
