Dominion Marine Media announced the appointment of Wade Luce as director of its Business Consulting Group.

Luce is responsible for global business product development and marketing strategies for the Business Consulting Group, which is new unit of Dominion Marine Media. The group's mission is to provide boatbuilders, equipment and accessory manufacturers and large dealer groups with custom advertising and lead generation programs.

"We consider ourselves fortunate to have been able to attract an individual of Wade's caliber to our online business," said Ian Atkins, vice president and general manager of Dominion Marine Media, in a statement. "His extensive advertising experience, together with his many and varied marine industry connections, adds a whole new dimension to our expanding sales efforts."

Luce brings 23 years of publishing, sales management and marine industry experience to Dominion Marine Media. Most recently, he served as group publisher of BowTie Inc. in Irvine, Calif. Luce's marine background includes more than 15 years at Hachette Filipacchi Media, where he served as vice president and publisher of Boating magazine.

Prior to that position, Luce managed major accounts for Bear Advertising in Hollywood, Calif., where he directed advertising efforts for marine accounts such as Furuno, Suzuki and Penn Reels. Luce was the advertising director at ICOM America in the late 1980s.

He is a graduate of the Edward R. Murrow School of Journalism at Washington State University.

Maverick Boat Co. announced that marine sales veterans Ryan W. Kagy and Tom McKnight will represent its Maverick, Hewes, Pathfinder and Cobia brands in the Northeast, Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Kagy has been in marine sales since he graduated from Ohio State University in 2000. He has established and serviced dealer networks in the Midwest and Northeast, and will represent Maverick in its Northeast territory.

McKnight started in the marine industry more than 25 years ago as a Southeast regional sales representative with Mercury Marine. He will represent Maverick's brands from Georgia to Maryland.

"We are very excited to have Tom and Ryan on board. Between the two of them, they bring us over 35 years of territory-specific experience and a history of excellent dealer development and care," CEO and president Scott Deal said in a statement.
