Intellian, a leader in marine satellite antennas, selected David Quarders as its new director of VSAT sales for the Americas.

A seasoned veteran in the marine electronics and communications industries, Quarders will drive sales growth for Intellian's extensive VSAT communication antenna line.

"We are very proud to have David join the Intellian team," said Eric Sung, president and CEO of Intellian, in a statement. "Intellian has experienced tremendous growth in the Americas in just a few short years. I am confident that, with David on board leading sales growth for our VSAT solutions, we are poised for even greater success."

Quarders has more than 20 years of direct and indirect sales and marketing experience in the defense, shipping, oil and gas and boating industries. He is based in the new Seattle-area Intellian office.

Industry veteran Jan Slooter joined Advanced Polymer Coatings as director of business development for Europe.

Slooter brings many years of experience working with MarineLine-coated chemical tankers. He previously served as general manager of the Clearwater Group. Prior to that, he worked with the Breko Shipyard in the Netherlands from 1992-1995.

Previous positions also included work at Cummins Engine Co., where he became service manager.

Avon, Ohio-based Advanced Polymer Coatings provides the maritime industry with the MarineLine coating system.
