Thaddeus Kubis, president of NAK Integrated Marketing and managing director of PointGarage.com, was appointed to the Marine Marketers of America board of directors.

Kubis, a 30-year veteran of print, advertising and marketing, and a well-known speaker supporting online training and converging media, was tapped to complete a two-year remaining term previously held by John Wisse.

"We are very pleased to have Thad work with us on the board and appreciate that he brings a wealth of solid marketing expertise to the position, as well as a healthy degree of enthusiasm in helping us launch an all-new webinar program to benefit our members," MMA president Wanda Kenton Smith said in a statement.

Kubis holds a Coast Guard Master's license with a sail and towing endorsement and is a certified American Sailing Association keelboat and catamaran sailing instructor.

David Belisle is the newly appointed Northeast regional sales representative for MarChem CFI, the company announced.

Based in Chicopee, Mass., Belisle's territory encompasses Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, and Rhode Island.

He brings more than 30 years in the textile industry to his new post, primarily with Mastex Industries, where he rose through the ranks to director of sales.

"We are fortunate to have Dave join MarChem CFI in this major position. He is self-motivated, goal-oriented and driven by results," said Alan Prelutsky, vice president of sales and marketing for parent company Dash Multi-Corp/Marchem CFI, in a statement.

MarChem CFI manufactures several proprietary coated, solution-dyed and laminated products sold through an international network of wholesale distributors serving the marine, awning, tent, outdoor furniture and safety application industries.
