Changing Places

Hellier Yacht Sales, of New London, Conn., added locations in Stamford, Westbrook and Norwalk, Conn., along with new staff members.

Rick Allen joins Hellier as a new and used broker for the Stamford and Norwalk locations. He relocated to Stamford six years ago to establish a sailboat dealership after managing a successful boat dealership in Annapolis, Md.

Ted Boynton will be selling new and used boats in Westbrook and New London. Boynton is experienced in sales and marketing, having worked in the leisure skiing industry for 15 years. In 1996, he started Sound BoatWorks in Westbrook, marketing one-design sailboats, daysailers (Laser, Sunfish, Hunter) and traditional powerboats (Mako, Pioneer, Bristol Skiff).

Jacqui Brindley was the office manager for one of the oldest boat dealerships in Annapolis before arriving in Stamford. She will provide bookkeeping and administrative services.

"Each and every member of the HYS team is committed to total customer satisfaction. Hellier's reputation as an industry leader has been earned by consistently meeting the commitment we have made to our customers and to ourselves to provide service and support that far exceeds expectations," executive vice president Mark McLeod said in a statement.
