Changing Places

Marine Electrical Products, a manufacturer of electrical and formed plastic components, hired Tim Grimes and Jeff Rashid to fill key positions.

Grimes brings more than 20 years of marine industry experience to the position., where he will drive new sales growth through new business development and supporting ongoing sales efforts through existing account management in  marine and non-marine markets in the Midwest and Western United States.

Grimes previously served in regional sales and business development roles at Eastern Metal Supply, Pinnacle Services Corp. and Moeller Marine Products. Earlier in his career, he worked at Voyager Marine, Alumacraft Boat Co. and Lowe Boats.

Grimes is a Westlawn-trained yacht designer and he studied business administration at Drury University in Missouri.

Rashid, who brings knowledge and experience from a 17-year career in the boatbuilding industry, was named regional marine sales and customer service manager. He is responsible for driving sales growth in the Southeast and southern Midwest, along with managing key national and strategic accounts, managing the customer service functions and coordinating new product development through engineering and manufacturing.

Rashid has held positions in manufacturing, customer service, purchasing and marketing and served as the pro-staff manager at Triton Boats, with earlier positions at Stratos Boats.
