Cameron Weldon is the newly appointed upper Midwest regional sales representative for MarChem CFI Inc.

His responsibilities include the management of all aspects of MarChem’s current business and growing the territory by developing new customers and markets.

Weldon’s territory encompasses Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and far western Pennsylvania.

Weldon brings 18 years of experience in the textile industry, primarily with Astrup and Tri Vantage, where he held positions of increasing responsibility.

MarChem makes several proprietary coated, solution-dyed and laminated products and serves the marine, awning, tent, outdoor furniture and safety application industries.

Transmission Engineering Co. named Cheryl Breck an inside sales representative for the Powertrain Components Group.

Breck has worked in the marine industry for 15 years.

“We are fortunate to find someone with Cheryl's knowledge who brings real-world marine experience to our inside sales operation,” the company said in a statement. “Two of her major career successes were the development of ‘cradle to grave’ program management for major cruise lines and growing marine product sales from scratch to a multimillion-dollar business.”


Connecticut spring show adds charity benefit

The Connecticut Spring Boat Show will be held Friday May 4 through Sunday, May 6, at Brewer Essex Island Marina in Essex, Conn., and this year will be the first time that admission fees will benefit the charity SailsUP4Cancer

AIM announces new hires

Catapult Creative Labs, the internal marketing communications agency of Active Interest Media, has hired Andrea Kupfer as vice president, account executive and Christina Erb LoVullo as creative services director. Kupfer will lead Catapult’s long-term sales growth and profitability and Erb LoVullo will oversee marketing and creative services.
