ZF Marine named Susan Mortgu its new account manager for the Northeast United States and Atlantic Canada.

A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, with additional studies at the University of Delaware’s school of marine policy, Mortgu comes to ZF Marine with a wealth of experience in the industry.

She is a certified project manager with more than 10 years of experience in shipyard project management, including new construction, repair and refit for pleasure and commercial vessels.

Mortgu has more than 30 years of practical experience on the water in pleasure and commercial craft, including service in the merchant marine as a deck officer.

“Susan’s wealth of experience will be a true asset to the ZF Marine organization. Her depth of knowledge, specifically that of the maritime industry in the Northeast, will be appreciated by our customer base in the region,“ David Santos, commercial craft segment manager, said in a statement.

Mortgu will be based out of her home office in Rhode Island.

Mike Frisch, host of Fishing the Midwest television series, announced that Suzuki would be the exclusive outboard motor of the show.

Sea Tow Foundation appoints new directors

The nonprofit Sea Tow Foundation has announced the return of Gail R. Kulp as executive director. Michael Wesolowski, the former executive director, is now the director of external affairs.
