Seakeeper, the worldwide leader in gyroscopic boat-roll stabilization, named Tom Goeke as its chief operating officer.

Goeke most recently was chief executive of the Kloeckner Pentaplast Group, a multinational manufacturer of industrial films and coatings.

"Tom is the right man at the right time for Seakeeper," Seakeeper CEO Shepard McKenney said. “With our sales more than doubling year on year, we are experiencing the transition from limited production to mass manufacturing and want to realize all of the benefits that such a transition makes possible."

Waterway Guide promoted Jani Parker to production manager/editor.


Parker joined Waterway Guide in June as editor. In her new position, she will continue to provide editorial review and will oversee the production of the six cruising guides the company produces annually.

"Since joining the company, Jani has shown the leadership skills and enthusiasm necessary to manage the day-to-day production schedule so crucial to our process,” Waterway Guide publisher Jack Dozier said.

Based in Deltaville, Va., the Waterway Guide editions provide mile-by-mile coverage of waterways for the entire East Coast, Gulf Coast, Great Lakes and the Bahamas. The company has been producing cruising guides for 65 years.


Yamaha sponsors Jacksonville show

MIASF volunteers collect 32 tons of trash

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida and the Marine Industry Cares Foundation, organizers of the 41st Annual Broward County Waterway Cleanup held on March 3, collected 32 tons of trash from 31 sites around the county.
