Changing Places

Sak Marine, the parent company of Caravelle Powerboats, Interceptor Performance Boats, Key Largo Sportfishing Boats, Clearwater Sportfishing Boats, Cape-Craft Sportfishing Boats and Sea Hawk Offshore Fishing Boats, appointed Nick Miller a managing partner and vice president.

Miller will have an ownership position with Sak Marine, as well as oversee sales and marketing for all of the company’s brands. He also will contribute to new product offerings and future acquisitions. Miller will be responsible for helping the current dealer networks grow their businesses at retail by providing support tools and implementing nationwide marketing initiatives.

He also will manage the current factory representatives and assist them in acquiring new dealers in the United States and internationally.

“We were looking for the right person that would fit in with our group and take our vision of growth and make it happen. I spent quite a bit of time with Nick, and not only is he an intelligent businessman with great, forward-thinking ideas, he started working on the production floor of a boat company when he was a kid,” Sak Marine president Eugene Sak said in a statement.

“He worked his way up within this industry, and that says quite a bit about a person,” he added. “We are happy to have him as part of our team and as one of the owners of our company.”

Miller began working for Pro-Line Boats in 1986. When Pro-Line purchased Donzi and Phoenix he became head of marketing, eventually becoming vice president. Until 2003 Miller worked in nearly every position within those boat companies.

Since that time, he has consulted with boatbuilders and hundreds of dealers via one-on-one training and group workshops.
