Weems & Plath promoted Cynthia Trevino to special markets manager.

She joined the company two years ago in the accounting department, and in her new position she will be responsible for all corporate and special market sales on a national level.

Trevino has more than 20 years of business and marketing experience in the Annapolis, Md., area. Prior to joining Weems & Plath, she operated her own electronics business.

“I am both pleased and excited to promote Cindy to this position. Her dedication, business experience and attention to detail make her the perfect fit for this position,” Weems & Plath president Peter Trogdon said in a statement.

Weems & Plath has been a manufacturer of nautical instruments since 1928.

Viking Pump recently appointed Kerry Baskins to vice president of sales.

He will be responsible for worldwide sales for Viking Pump and Wright Flow Technologies products.

Baskins’ early career included sales and marketing roles with Viking Pump from 1990-1997. Since that time he has worked at Liquid Handling Systems of San Diego, JCI Industries and most recently as vice president of Grundfos Pumps.

Viking Pump also announced the appointment of Bill Canady to general manager–parts and service. He previously served as vice president of marketing.

“We are very happy to welcome Kerry to the Viking team and, with Bill’s leadership, to continue our focus on our parts and service initiative,” Fenton Challgren, general manager of Viking Pump and Wright Flow Technologies, said in a statement. “I look forward to working with Kerry and Bill as we continue to grow our business worldwide.”
