Pelican Products appointed Joe Eckerle as vice president and general manager of its South Deerfield, Mass., facility.

Pelican is focused on operational excellence and continual improvement. Joe’s expertise with managing diverse groups in fast-paced environments will strengthen an already effective organization in South Deerfield,” chief operating officer John Padian said in a statement. “South Deerfield is an integral part of the company’s strategic growth plans and we’re confident that Joe’s leadership will enhance Pelican’s ability to service our customers.”

Prior to joining Pelican, Eckerle served in several key executive positions with companies that include TriMedx Healthcare Equipment Services; Optical Experts Manufacturing; Technicolor Home Entertainment Services; Mitsui Advanced Media; and Sony Music Entertainment.

He has extensive experience with respect to Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, plastic injection molding, glass mastering, offset printing and high-speed packaging and distribution.
