Trevor Goldsmith joined Marvair of Cordele, Ga., to assist in the development and marketing of the CMach line of marine chillers, air handlers and make-up air units.

“His 16-year experience and product expertise in marine air conditioning will enable us to bring unique, cost-effective solutions to the marine OEM market,” said David L. Shuford, Marvair vice president of marketing and international sales, in a statement.

Marvair, a division of Airxcel Inc., manufactures heating, ventilation and air-conditioning products for marine and other applications.

Diane Byrne joined online magazine Mad Mariner as a contributing editor.

Byrne, former executive editor of Power & Motoryacht magazine and the author of the Megayacht News blog, will be responsible for story development and editing, and will work with Mad Mariner editors and writers to bring engaging stories to readers. Byrne also will take over managing editor Leef Smith Barnes’ duties when Barnes goes on maternity leave next month.

Byrne has covered megayachts since 1993 and spent 15 years with Power & Motoryacht prior to joining Mad Mariner. She continues to work for the magazine on a contract basis and maintains a practice as a freelance journalist.

“She combines in-depth marine journalism experience with a creative mind and a strong knowledge of the online world,” said Glen Justice, founder and editor of Mad Mariner, in a statement. “Her impact on the magazine will be substantial.”
