Canadian Yachting and Boating Industry Canada named John Avdic as senior account manager for western Canada.

Avdic brings 20 years of media advertising experience with several large newspapers and magazines. Most recently, he worked with Canada Wide Media and several of its titles and platforms.

“His years of experience with British Columbia’s Boat Journal and his knowledge of the [British Columbia] marine industry strengthen our position considerably in providing integrated media solutions to our clients and prospects in western Canada,” publisher Mark Collett said in a statement.

"This appointment furthers our commitment to our customers in western Canada and reinforces our position as the only truly national magazine and Internet group in Canada," John Kerr, president of Adastra Media and Kerrwil, which publishes Canada Yachting and Boating Industry Canada, said in a statement. "Adding John and his experience to our team in the west sets us apart and gives us greater depth nationally."
