Changing Places

Veteran marine journalist and blogger Ben Ellison was named senior electronics editor for Bonnier Marine Group.

“After years of hands-on reporting through his widely acclaimed Panbo.com blog and in several leading marine publications, Ben has earned a deserved reputation as a highly regarded journalist in the field of marine electronics,” said David Ritchie, editorial director of Bonnier Marine Group, in a statement. “In his new role, he will provide an excellent resource to all of our fishing, boating and sailing publications.”

Ellison will write columns and features for Yachting and Cruising World magazines, while working with the electronics writers who already contribute to the Marine Group’s other titles, including Motor Boating, Sport Fishing and Salt Water Sportsman.

Prior to joining Bonnier Marine Group, Ellison wrote for several marine publications, including Reed's Nautical Almanacs and Ocean Navigator, and more recently served as the electronics editor at Power & Motoryacht and Sail magazines.
