China International Boat Show opens Friday

The sixth annual 2013 China International Boat Show will open Friday at Xiamen Marina in Wuyuan Bay and continue through Monday.

The show hosts one of the largest boat exhibits in China and will have an indoor section, an outdoor area and an in-water display. More than 300 yachts and boats of all sizes from nearly 400 brands will be on display, including the Feadship 150 superyacht Bluesky.

The indoor section covers about 5,000 square meters and will house exhibits of technical equipment and a yacht club. The outdoor area covers 20,000 square meters and will showcase yachts, sailing boats, parts and services. The on-water area, with 351 berths covering 30,000 square meters, will be dedicated to sailboats, yachts and test drives of some of the boats on display.

The China Association of the National Shipbuilding Association is organizing the show. A total of 160 exhibitors, including 20 overseas exhibitors, will participate.
