Chinese yacht builder opens U.S. branch

China's Sunbird Yachts is expanding and has opened a new overseas branch in the United States, the company announced.

California's Plandy Yachts, along with Marco-Polo Yachts in Italy and Plandy Yachts in Hong Kong, will work on yacht design, construction, sales and service.

"We focus more on prep work with local experts that we have or to hire, so we are ready to go when time is back for the world market," company president Li Yue Xian said in a statement.

The company also has opened more sales and service centers in China.


Suzuki sponsoring TV show

Mike Frisch, host of Fishing the Midwest television series, announced that Suzuki would be the exclusive outboard motor of the show.

Sea Tow Foundation appoints new directors

The nonprofit Sea Tow Foundation has announced the return of Gail R. Kulp as executive director. Michael Wesolowski, the former executive director, is now the director of external affairs.
