CMTA schedules April training sessions

The Connecticut Marine Trades Association will host training events this month to educate members in various areas of interest.

On April 14 the CMTA will host a session on marina fires. The session, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Guilford (Conn.) Fire House Training Room, is designed for facility owners and managers and addresses the nature of marina firefighting, as well as prevention. CMTA members can register here.

On April 26 the group is hosting sessions for CPR and automated external defibrillator certification, and basic first aid certification, at CMTA headquarters at 20 Plains Road in Essex, Conn.

Adult AED/CPR is from 1 p.m. to 3:30 and costs $75. Basic first aid runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and costs $35. The combined course is $100.
