The Coast Guard Foundation named Loralyn Cropper as regional director for the Northeast.
Cropper will work closely with Coast Guard units in the area to identify and fulfill education, morale and family support needs for Coast Guard members.
She replaces Susan Ludwig, who was recently named president of the Coast Guard Foundation.
“We welcome Loralyn to the team and look forward to her building on the core support we’ve developed through the generosity of people and companies in the Northeast United States,” Ludwig said in a statement. “The foundation is proud to support the men and women of the United States Coast Guard. Loralyn shares our vision and commitment, and we are excited for her contribution to our cause.”
Cropper brings 25 years of corporate sales and marketing, and nonprofit fundraising experience to her role at the foundation.
Previously, she held fundraising appointments at City College of New York, Riverdale Country School and Scripps College. Cropper has a bachelor’s degree from Scripps College and a master’s in marketing and international business from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Administration.
“I am thrilled to serve the brave men and women of the United States Coast Guard,” Cropper said. “I look forward to the opportunities ahead and to the impact we can have on the lives of those who sacrifice so much for our nation.”
