Companies form docking systems venture
Technomarine of Canada and Marinetek Group of Finland have joined forces to offer a complete range of docking systems to the international market.
Two new sales companies, one in Finland and one in the United States, are being formed to supply all aluminum and concrete dock brands currently available from both manufacturers, the companies said in a statement.
The new European company will be jointly owned by Technomarine, Marinetek Group and Marinetek DAS of Turkey and will cover the European and Middle East markets. The North American venture, which includes sales to the Caribbean, will be jointly owned by Technomarine USA and Marinetek North America.
"The joint venture complements our overall strategic initiative to offer a comprehensive product line, along with turnkey project development services to our clients. This partnership will allow us to further develop our platform and market positioning to become the world's leading supplier of advanced docking solutions," Technomarine USA president and CEO Erik Sanderson said in a statement.
The European company will begin operations Jan. 22, when the Dusseldorf Boat Show opens in Germany, and the North American company will follow on Jan. 26, the first day of the International Marina and Boatyard Conference in Florida.
