SF Marina USA's Argentinean representative, Las Marinas, recently joined forces with modular-home manufacturer Ruca Panel to develop the foundation for a prefabricated home using SF Marina's concrete floating platforms.

"We had an incredibly warm reception at the recent Buenos Aires South Yacht Show in Nordelta," said Jacinta Bardach, Las Marinas marketing and public relations manager, in a statement. "It's such a new product, but the interest is there. A great number of people have already toured the house."

The first of these houseboat buildings is on display at the Puerto Bahia Grande. In the future, it will move to the river near Las Marinas' facility where it will serve as a showroom.

Based in Gloucester, Va., SF Marina USA is a leader in concrete docks and floating breakwaters.
