Connecticut awards clean-marina designations

The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection recognized 12 marine facilities, including nine more of the Brewer family of marinas, as recreational boating facilities to be certified as Clean Marinas.

"The Connecticut Marine Trades Association is very pleased and proud to welcome this new class of a dozen Connecticut Clean Marinas," said Grant Westerson, executive director of the Connecticut Marine Trades Association, in a statement. "These 12 are environmental leaders in their field and will help motivate the rest of the industry to embrace the Clean Marina program in the near future."
