Connecticut trade group set to hold annual expo

The Connecticut Marine Trades Association is gathering Tuesday for the annual Connecticut Marine Trades Expo at WoodWinds in Branford, Conn.

The keynote speaker is Marine Retailers Association of the Americas president Matt Gruhn. He will conclude the event, which runs from 2 to 8 p.m., by addressing the group about market trends and provide his view of the industry.

To open the event there will be a discussion about the upcoming elections and the legislative session beginning in January, according to the group.

The first of two information panels will speak about insurance requirements and business liability exposures. A second panel will discuss environmental and regulatory issues and compliance requirements. After that panel, association leadership will bring attendees up to date on issues that could negatively affect their business.
